Do you know there is a TinTin shop in Singapore? No? Neither do I until I stumble into one.
Tin Tin was one and only English comic which was allowed in any national library collection in the 1980s. Back then comic were not widely accepted as educational for students (referring to Marvel or DC comic book). However Tintin made it's mark as the education acceptance as it is decent and do not have much visual violence in it. Tintin was many students favorites compare to reading boring wordings.
Anyway back to the shop.
The shop was full of Tintin's merchandise ranging from books,
posters,
T-shirts,
cups,
Plushes... more to Snowy the dog,
statues (this one from the Blue Lotus),
dioramas and other goodies.
The TinTin Shop Singapore was officially opened on 18 December 2010 by Ambassador of Belgium.
I was glad to see a TinTin shop in Singapore and I was overwhelmed by the merchandises of Tintin. Never have I seen so much Tintin in one place. Can you imagine you have so much product range that it filled a shop? That show how popular Tintin was.
I am pretty sure they were many who like Tintin in his unique and clever manners.
The TinTin shop is situated at Chinatown. The full address is at 56 Pagoda Street Singapore 059215 and open daily.
Tintin was one of those book that I read from cover to cover over and over again. Are you a Tintin fan too?
