Who is this White Wizard we are talking about? Could it be Saruman! No it's not Dumbledore!
It's Gandalf the Grey....
"Yes... That's what they used to call me. Gandalf the Grey. That was my name. I am Gandalf the White. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide."
Gandalf, one of my favorite characters in Lord of the Ring. A wise wizard who shows great wisdom and fearlessly stand up for what is right in the face of adversity. At the same time as wise and powerful as he is, he had a love and concern on other smaller habitation of Middle earth such as the Hobbits.
For this toy figure, I got him loose as someone just wanted the horse (silly if you ask me). I got him from the same owner who sold Strider aka Aragorn to me.
Gandalf feature capture the likeness of actor Ian mckellen in the movie and this toy had a real White fabric for his robe.
The fine details of this toy is amazing. Even his inner vest pattern are so well detailed. Look at the belt bucket!
When Gandalf return from the dead as the White Wizard, Gandalf carried a different Staff. This white staff is more elegant and elven looking. No one knows where he got this staff from and who had given him. It was believe that a wizard work his magic with his staff and is really important to keep a staff on his side at all times.
The Staff was not inviciable, in the movie Extended edition, the staff broke into pieces when confronting the Witch King.
Gandalf still have a trusty sword, Glamdring/Foe-hammer which was forged in the first age and recover by Gandalf in a nest of trolls.
As a action figure, Gandalf do come with an action gimmick which is a button found at his back. It is only visible when the robe is remove.
When the button is pressed, the right hand of Gandalf will be raised. Pretty standard action for an action figure.
Although this Gandalf has many fine details, this toy version forgotten to put his ring, Ring of Fire, Narya on him. Nonetheless, this is still the best Gandalf the White for me in the whole toy series.
Is Gandalf your favorite Wizard in Lord of the Rings? Or you are a fan of Saruman?
