Mattel Stay Puft Marshmallow Man 2016

When the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters, among all the toys Mattel has produce for that movie, I have only an eye for Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Finally I got hold of one...

In the movie, Stay Puft is actually a Balloon Ghost and not Marshmallow....

At the back of the card, it show kind of to scale compare to some Ghostbusters 2016 figures.

The feature of this figure is that you can light up the Marshmallow Man by pressing the ribbon button and it will glow in red.

To me that feature was not attractive as I only go for the outlook of the familiar Marshmallow Man.

Time to Open the Toy!!

The figure stand well at the height around 6 inches...

At the back of him was a battery compartment and tighten by a screw.

As it was round and Fat from front and back, the side view he look still alright.

In term of articulation, this figure offer way more articulation in the retro Marshmallow Man which is a huge plus point for me. You can see the arms can be lifted up to the side.

The wrist can be articulated as well!

Next the neck and legs can be move as well!

The leg offer bending and rotating. You have to be mindful to keep the balance of the figure. You can make it sit down too!

I have to say this Mattel Stay Puft Marshmallow Man 2016 is the best articulated version of him ever!

If you are a Ghostbusters fan (old or new), this is one figure you got to have!!

Meanwhile, Stay Puft!!

So far, I have not seen collectibles related with the last installment of the Ghostbusters, except for the vehicles released by Hot Wheels (that you could get in some retail stores and in the secondary market), but nothing like figures of the characters and I guess it was because the movie had a rather lukewarm reception... This toy reproduces very well the Marshmallow Man, the sculpt and proportion are right, this version looks a bit weird as a balloon ghost, but it manages to keep the same good-natured presence of the original made of marshmallow... It’s indeed a good option if you don’t have the budget for the S.H. Figuarts version, which as far as I know is quite expensive, specially in this side of the world... =D
Damn cute bro! This newer version even have light and articulation. I remember the old version is mainly vinyl.
