Sometime ago after I blog about my vintage playmobil, I received a generous gift from comicbaby, a playmobil Guru collector. When I asked is there anything I can do to repay his good will, he just asked me to enjoy and replay my childhood memories. That is what exactly what I am going to do in today entry. Play with my toys. :P
Originally I thought it was just one toy but when I opened up the package, there was two
and they come with the complete accessories
comicbaby even threw in accessories for my policeman which come in a set. This was the first time I witness it's former glory as his complete accessories! I'm touched for his thoughtfulness.
Now for my childhood favorite which I called him Yellow Playmobil as he was my only in my childhood collection in yellow. Yellow color to me is more like a royalty color due to my Chinese culture. I have no idea he was an Red Indian figure. I still couldn't get over it.
Now this is how my blue gang were like, always up to no good.
I always complete my play time with a happy ending. That leave me happy and hopeful in life for that day.
Thank to Comicbaby bro for letting me know and understand where my childhood figure came from especially with the complete accessories from his collection.
I know many toy collectors but those who are willing to share freely and generously is a gem. I am bless to met one even when I have never met him in person before. Today the yellow playmobil is in my hand once again.
Although it is a different one, I will still keep the memories of what I have. For me, this is how I love my toys. I know some may have view this entry as childish especially coming from a fully grown man. For that I am going to quote the following from C.S. Lewis:
"Critics who treat "adult" as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adults themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.... When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." ~ C.S. Lewis

I am no guru in playmobil, I just buy too much.
Your yellow playmobil could be anything,
the yellow guys just seem to appear more as Red Indians from what I remember.
Have fun!
Thanks bro. I'm starting to get some new playmobil now. LOL
