It has been some time since I review McFarlane toys and since they recently release Spawn from the video game Mortal Kombat, I got a chance to order one which is the sword version, and do a review on it.
Here is the packaging which is a box with a visible figure for a full front view. The workmanship speak for itself.
The back and the side showcase the quality of the figure and not an illustration of the video game which is really awesome.
Let's open up the figure and a the back of the figure was the hidden logo of Mortal Kombat!
The side profile of the Spawn looks amazing. In fact, during all these years Spawn did not have many changes as the design is on spot.
The sword held well on this figure and a firm grip. See how good it look with the sword?
Did I mentioned that there is a Spawn logo on the sword?
The articulations are very standard for mcfarlane figure and the bear body retain the overall look of spawn as we remember it. See the details of the chain on his chest and belt?
Unlike many other figures by other toy companies, McFarlane did not make any effect parts like glowing flame or such but a simple look for this spawn figure.
That being said, this figure has been played by my kid for a few days and the joints remain intact and firm. That is the quality of McFarlane toys.
There will be another of the same SPAWN but with an Axe while previously there is another version with the mace. Personally, the sword version is good enough for me.
What do you think?
